40 hour Medical Spanish Course for Doctors and Nurses
In 1998, the Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services issued a memorandum [which] states that the denial or delay of medical care because of language barriers constitutes discrimination and requires that recipients of Medicaid or Medicare funds provide adequate language assistance to patients with limited English proficiency.
Classes for doctors and nurses can be customized as needed. Language Accelerated uses an internationally recognized text book with audio CD's to help you learn what you need to know to interact with your patients. Classes are simple and straightforward. You'll learn vocabulary with visual images to help you remember the words. You'll get to practice your new Spanish in the classroom in role-plays that mimic your professional situations as closely as possible.
